Lake Erie Computers ("we," "us," or "our"), based in Cleveland, Ohio, respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

• Information you give us: name, email, phone, and message content when you submit the contact form or email us about a purchase, quote, or repair.
• Device information: a device you bring in for service and any data needed to complete the requested work.
• Technical data: basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) used to keep the site secure and running.

2. How we use it

• To respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, and fulfill orders and repairs.
• To provide warranty service and support.
• To protect the site against fraud and abuse.
• To comply with legal and tax obligations.

3. What we do not do

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.

4. Your device & data during service

Repairs and data work are performed in-house in Cleveland. We access only what is necessary to complete the requested work, and we can securely wipe drives and issue a data-destruction certificate on request.

5. Cookies

We use a single, essential session cookie to keep staff signed in to the secure portal. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

6. Data retention

We keep inquiry and transaction records only as long as needed for warranty, support, and legal/accounting requirements, then delete them.

7. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, hashed staff credentials, access controls, and rate-limited authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, industry-standard measures.

8. Your choices
