Return Policy

We want you happy with your purchase. This policy covers returns, exchanges, and warranty claims for products bought from Lake Erie Computers.
1. Return window
- Refurbished & new products: 14 days from pickup or delivery for a refund or exchange.
- Custom builds: returnable within 14 days; a restocking fee may apply if custom-ordered parts cannot be returned to our supplier.
- Software & licenses: non-returnable once a license key has been revealed or activated.
2. Condition of returns
Returned items must be in the condition you received them, with all included accessories, cables, and packaging. Physical damage, missing parts, or signs of misuse may reduce or void the refund.
3. Warranty claims
Warranty periods are listed in our Documentation and on each product page. If a covered item fails, contact us with your SKU/invoice and a description of the issue. We will repair, replace, or refund at our discretion. Warranty does not cover accidental damage, liquid damage, or unauthorized modifications.
4. How to start a return
- Email hello@eriecomputers.org with your order/SKU and reason.
- We'll issue return instructions (drop-off in Cleveland or prepaid shipping label where applicable).
- Once inspected, approved refunds are issued to the original payment method.
5. Refund timing
Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days of inspection. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective item.
6. Non-returnable items
- Activated software licenses and digital keys.
- Special-order components once installed.
- Items marked "final sale" or "as-is" on the product page.
7. Defective on arrival (DOA)
If an item arrives non-functional, notify us within 48 hours and we'll cover return shipping and prioritize a replacement.
